Your Money Mentality:

The Keeper

For you, wealth is really about caring for yourself and the people you love around you. Building your wealth gives you confidence knowing that you are in a strong position no matter what comes your way. It’s possible you carry the mental and emotional load for those counting on you (whether that's little ones, a partner, or aging parents), and you are seeking that deep, exhale-inducing peace of mind that comes from knowing your world is safe.

FACT

The estimated cost of raising a child to the age of 18 in Australia has risen to about $300,000 for the first child. Subsequent children cost about $230,000 each. This is for a working-age couple earning the typical after-tax income.

Your Current Vibe

You value stability and connection above all else. You might be feeling the "sandwich generation" squeeze - balancing the needs of your children or future family; and the needs of your parents as they get older. You aren't chasing high-risk trends; you are looking for sleep-at-night certainty and a plan that honors your commitment to your family. You might not feel like you have a well-rounded financial fortress established yet, and you know setting up money and cash flow for now and later will help you breathe easy.

The Intel

True security is a feeling that comes from having a thoughtful financial structure in place. You would feel best knowing you have money available for now, investments available for the future, an emergency fund for the unexpected, and assets for long-term wealth. The biggest potential risk is not regularly reviewing your ‘safety net’ - that final security that will support those closest to you in a worst-case scenario.

DID YOU KNOW

"Sandwich Generation" is the term for people "sandwiched" between raising kids and caring for aging parents. If you feel pulled in two directions, you aren't imagining it—it's a recognized financial phenomenon in Australia.
